Harper Meyer has also represented numerous airlines in a wide range of matters. The airlines have been both large and small, U.S. and foreign, regional and national, scheduled and charter, cargo and mixed-use carriers. We are familiar with the laws and regulations administered by the Federal Aviation Administration as they relate to U.S. and foreign aircraft registration, operations and transfer matters including foreign beneficial ownership of U.S. registered aircraft, tax and bankruptcy implications, air carrier certification, airworthiness requirements, insurance aspects, and attachment procedures and other litigation-related aspects of the practice. Beyond the U.S., our lawyers have represented a number of foreign certificated airlines and have extensive experience in aviation transactions in virtually every country in Latin America and throughout the Caribbean, as well as Canada, England, Ireland, France, Taiwan, Nepal, Jordan, and elsewhere in Europe. Our attorneys have also had numerous occasions to deal with foreign aviation regulatory bodies.

Our attorneys are also well-versed in the rules and regulations of the Cape Town Convention and the International Registry in Dublin, Ireland. Our attorneys have assisted clients in creating and registering their international interests with the International Registry. Our attorneys have also represented numerous financial institutions and corporate clients in ensuring that their transaction documents are Cape Town Compliant.

We are a coordinating member of the L2B Group, an international association of law firms which specializes in providing legal and commercial advice to the aviation industry throughout the world. We are active in a number of aviation-related organizations including the National Business Aircraft Association ("NBAA"), the National Aircraft Finance Association ("NAFA"), the Latin American Aviation Lawyers Association ("ALADA"), the Ibero-American Institute of Aviation and Space Law, and several others. Our lawyers speak frequently at aviation law conferences on a variety of aviation matters ranging from deregulation to noise control, Cape Town, aircraft finance, FAA registration issues, ownership and structural issues, the integration of the international aviation industry, space law, and similar topics.
