Andrea Olivos-Kah concentrates in the areas of immigration and nationality law with a focus on employment-based immigration, which includes assisting multinational executives, entrepreneurs, investors, intra-company transferees, and extraordinary ability workers to obtain temporary and permanent status in the United States.

Ms. Olivos-Kah was nominated and has served as American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Mentor on ethics and unauthorized practice of law issues since 2005, and is also a member of AILA South Florida's Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. She is a contributing author and co-host of Immigration Fridays and ‘Viernes de Inmigración” podcasts. Previously, Ms. Olivos-Kah resided in Ontario, Canada and was employed with Miller, Canfield, Paddock & Stone, PLC as Senior Attorney in Detroit, Michigan. Her practice focused on employment-based immigration and border issues. In Michigan, as a representative of the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association, she played a key role in the drafting and ratification of the Michigan Immigration Clerical Act and the amended regulations in the Michigan Notary Act. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Olivos-Kah worked as Independent Consultant-Electoral Observer for the Organization of American States, Unit for the Promotion of Democracy in Nicaragua, Haiti, Guatemala and Perú.

Ms. Olivos-Kah graduated from the University of Miami School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree in 1998. She holds a Master of Arts in International Politics from George Washington University (1994) and a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs from the George Washington University (1991). She is a Member of the Michigan Bar (1999 - Present), and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (2000 - Present). Ms. Olivos-Kah is fluent in Spanish.
